 The Archaeologist will be responsible for the protection and management of historic properties and First Foods resources within the Confederated Tribes ceded lands and traditional use areas by assisting in monitoring the compliance of federal, state, and tribal cultural resource laws and working with various entities.  The Archaeologist will assist the Assistant Program Manager on National Historic Preservation Act Section 106 consultation projects and the review of Section 106 archaeological reports and the National Environmental Policy Act.  The Archaeologist will be responsible for the implementation, direction, and successful completion of archaeological field projects. The Archaeologist will also assist the Assistant Program Manager with reviewing and/or writing cultural resource management plans, participating in trainings and attending consultation meetings.  This position will mostly work on projects associated with the U.S. Department of Energy’s Hanford Site located within the CTUIR ceded lands.
