Performs general forest management activities such as timber marking/cruising, pruning, thinning, piling as a member of a field crew. Other forestry field work duties may be assigned based upon program needs and employee aptitude, reliability, and willingness to learn. It will be expected that the incumbent will work 37.5 hours per week, report for work when scheduled, and be prepared (with food, water, and appropriate clothing /footwear) to be productive in remote locations for a complete workday. Although a traditional CTUIR Tribal work week is Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, it will often be necessary to work an alternate schedule to work with the schedules of contractors and to take advantage of working during cooler portions of the day.
