The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Program is currently requesting proposals for a design to upgrade or replace the fish ladder located at the City of Walla Walla intake dam. The selected Contractor will be expected to provide designs and solutions for upgrading or removal and replacement of the existing ladder which is out of compliance and is considered a partial passage barrier as well as provide a detailed engineering cost estimate for the construction project. A team of stakeholders will provide input throughout the design process. This technical review team (Review Team) will consist of staff from CTUIR, Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife (ODFW), Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), and the City of Walla Walla.

The project area is located on the main stem of Mill Creek (a tributary of the Walla Walla River). The project is situated at the City of Walla Walla water supply intake dam within the watershed boundary at approximately river mile 25.
