 The role of the Web Programmer is the management of multiple web sites which are operated by Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR).    This also includes the development of visionary solutions which provide security and access to data and information in an easy to use interfaces for decision makers within Tribal government and the Tribal community.  This position will design, code and program from the bottom up websites and software solutions which meet technical requirements for CTUIR.  This positon will provide recommendations for architecture solutions which meet the growing needs as well as minimize potential threats.   While this position is supervised by the GIS Program Manager, will be required to coordinate reviews of content with Office of Communications and technology with the Information and Technology Program as well as provide periodic updates to the Office of Information Steering Committee.  All of CTUIR’s web presence is hosted centrally from the Nixyáawii Governance Center (NGC) offices.   This includes multiple SQL databases and web based software solutions and the hosting of REST services.  While this position will have responsibility over all web based solutions which CTUIR develops, projects in the GIS Program include reporting, visualization and providing of access to data and information which include the integration of web mapping applications, 3D applications and social media.
