Carbon & Culture Symposium Student Poster Competition

Calling all students! Flex your creative skill and join our poster competition!

As part of our Carbon & Culture Symposium, we are inviting students of all ages to be part of our Student Poster Competition, and will be displaying the submitted posters for judging during the event. On the last day of the Symposium we will announce the winners in each category who will win prizes for their work! This poster competion is open to students at schools and colleges within the CTUIR homelands, please see the map and list of eligible schools below.

Deadline for posters in digital form will be Sunday Sept 21st (so we have time to print them) or by Thurs Sept 25th if students print/cevelop their own posters.

K12 Schools, Colleges, and Universities within the CTUIR Homeland are eligible to enter this poster competition. The map below shows the scope of the CTUIR Homeland, and a list of eligible schools within this geographic area.

Prizes for winning posters will be awarded for each age category. Below is the prize structure:

Middle School Traditional

1st place: $300

2nd place: $200

3rd place: $150

 

High School Traditional

1st place: $600

2nd place: $400

3rd place: $300

 

College Undergraduate Traditional

1st place: $700

2nd place: $600

3rd place: $500

 

Computer Assisted (A.I.) Art Category

1st place: $500

2nd Place: $400

3rd Place: $200

 

People's Choice

3 Awards to those voted favorite by Symposium attendees - $600 each

 

Students are welcome to submit art to both the computer assisted (A.I.) category as well as the traditional art categories. Please indicate whether your art is computer assisted (A.I.) or traditional when submitting your art to Climate Intern Ermia Butler at ErmiaButler@CTUIR.org or FirstFoods@CTUIR.org by Sunday Sept 21st for us to print, or by Thurs Sept 25th to the Nixyaawii Governance Center (46411 Ti'mine Way, Pendleton OR 97801) if you are submitting your project in person.

Posters will be returned to students after the Symposium, unless you indicate otherwise.
