2023 First Foods Policy Program 2nd Wednesday Outreach Series

Celebrating CTUIR's Climate Adaptation Plan, Umatilla Basin Water Rights Settlement negotiations, and Policy in Action workshops

CTUIR's Dept of Natural Resources First Foods Policy Program (FFPP) will be hosting a number of outreach events in 2023 to inform CAP implementation, conduct Umatilla Basin Water Rights Settlement engagement, and promote how these Plans and Policies can be used in daily life to improve Tribal family connection to sovereignty and First Foods!

These events will be held monthly on the 2nd Wednesday, and additional events will be announced soon.

Our next event will be on Wed March 8th from 2 PM - 5:30 PM. Attendance will be both in-person at the Nixyaawii Governance Center (NGC) Rotunda, and virtually via the Teams link below:

• 2:30 PM - Review of the Climate Adaptation Plan Ch 3A: Water (40 min) with Discussion (15 min)
• 3:30 PM – Water Conservation Plan and Drought Early Warning System (DEWS) Overview (40 minutes) and Discussion (15 min)
• 4:30 PM – Policy in Action: CTUIR TMDL Workshop (40 min) and Discussion (20 min)
• 5:30 PM – Event concludes
