The Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR), Department of Natural Resources Fisheries Program is currently requesting proposals for implementation of the North Touchet RM 1.3 – 2.0 Fish Habitat Enhancement Project design package for restoration efforts on the North Touchet River. The project site is located approximately 5 miles southeast of Dayton, WA, on the North Fork Touchet River at RM 1.3-2.0 in Columbia County.
The Project includes a combination of instream and floodplain actions to enhance fish habitat and riparian resources on the North Fork Touchet River. Construction activities will include; securing and delivering and construction materials (excepting rock and trees which will be acquired by a separate bid process), and excavating and hauling off site old berm material, installing wood structures along the nearly 3,000 foot project length, constructing a low profile berm while grading floodplain, and planting riparian trees and shrubs from whips.
