Land Protection Planning Commission to Host Public Meeting Regarding 2010 CTUIR Comprehensive Plan on Nov. 10

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Land Protection Planning Commission (LPPC) of the Confederated Tribes of the Umatilla Indian Reservation (CTUIR) will hold the following public hearings:

Conditional Use File #CU-26-001 – Applicant, CTUIR – Tribal Planning Office, 46411 Timíne Way, Pendleton, OR 97801.  The application proposes to amend text of the CTUIR 2010 Comprehensive Plan to update 2020 benchmarks identified in Chapter 5, Plan Elements and Chapter 6, Tribal Government.  Amendments to the Comprehensive Plan are legislative in nature, requiring a recommendation from the Land Protection Planning Commission to the CTUIR Board of Trustees, which are the final decision makers.  Amendments to the Comprehensive Plan may be adopted if found to satisfy the decision criteria listed in Chapter 7 of the CTUIR Comprehensive Plan.

The hearing will be held on Tuesday, November 10, 2026 beginning at 9:00 a.m.  Individuals may attend the meeting in the Walla Walla and Nciwana conference rooms at the Nixyáawii Governance Center, virtually, or by phone. Individuals may attend the meeting virtually at https://teams.microsoft.com/meet/25597330392664?p=zH9g9PDmpCuSU6Mb1t.  The meeting ID will be 255 973 303 926 64, and the passcode will be ot7R5Bx3.  Participation in the hearing will also be available by phone at 872-242-7793 starting at 9:00 a.m. on the day of the hearing.  The meeting ID will be 339 309 222#.

Staff reports and other materials related to the hearing will be available at least ten days in advance. They will be posted online at the link above or may be requested from the Tribal Planning Office by calling 541-276-3099.

The public is entitled and encouraged to participate in the hearing and submit testimony regarding the request.  Written comments may be sent to tpo@ctuir.org or to the Tribal Planning Office at 46411 Timíne Way Pendleton, OR 97801 for receipt by 4:00 p.m. November 9, 2026.
