Climate Projection Resources

Archive for Regional Climate Projections

Because the future is uncertain and will depend on the actions we are able to take today, we can't know for sure the changes we will face due to the climate crisis, but there are a number of resources that have been developed to anticipate the scope and magnitude of different climate impacts based on historical data and computer modeling.

This archive provides some regional estimates of climate projections that we can use to prepare for the uncertain future.

CTUIR GIS Climate Data Viewer (2016)

In order to examine the physical impacts of climate change on the tribe's environment, the Office of Information Technology (OIT) Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Program built the Climate Data Viewer to provide the tribal community with projections of how different aspect of the future might be different from today.

Within this viewer you will find information about: changes in annual mean temperature; predicted precipitation change; snow water equivalent (SWE) change and snow pack sensitivity; decline in predicted summer base flow; potential vegetation distribution change; projected changes to bull trout refuge streams; and changes to salmon habitat suitability.
