“Just as knowledge is a way of seeing the world, the earth transformed bears witness to the changes of the past millennia. The impact of colonization, the removal of peoples from ancestral lands, the dispossession or reduction of lands, population decline, a shift to a cash economy, and the unabated extraction of natural resources have transformed our lives. The cumulative impacts are apparent historically, although in isolation they often seem insignificant (Phillip E, Cash Cash, 2015).”
